Located in Hong Kong Park, the Edward Youde Aviary is a sanctuary of rich flora and mesmerising birds

Inside, visitors step into a memorial created by Lady Youde, honouring her husband’s long-time interest in birdwatching. Edward Youde was one of Hong Kong’s governors, praised by the Chinese community and his British colleagues for his diligent work ethic. No less than 550 birds from seventy species reside in the aviary. It is a haven for those who seek a place of calm and serenity. From families spending a day out together to serious birdwatchers with long-lens cameras, the aviary offers something for everyone.
