A place to rest and to relax

Located in the Sham Shui Po district of Kowloon, you can step into the past and visit the only Han-era tomb discovered in Hong Kong, taking in the history of the period as well as viewing the objects that were found in this well-preserved tomb.

To continue your journey into the past, the adjacent Lei Cheng Uk Han garden takes style cues from the Han period with sculptural pieces, artfully placed foliage, and pagodas for the public to rest and relax in.

Pavilions, terraces, towers, fishponds, and rock sculptures come together to form a curated, peaceful atmosphere. A raised platform provides ample space for tai chi or similar exercise. A covered walkway wends around an artificial pond, leading you past benches where young and old take a respite from the sun and towards a pavilion set in a stunning recreation of an ancient Chinese pleasure boat, with a hip roof and a fierce dragon at the mast.

Surrounded by high rise buildings, the revivalist era that was the Eastern Han dynasty lives on in a place of rest and a place to relax.
